چکیده
Introduction The south American tomato pinworm (Tuta absoluta), an invasive insect pest species, has established itself in more than 33 Chinese prefectures, where it is mainly damaging crops. Immediate efforts have been initiated to find strategies control this pest. Studies shown that biochar (BC) amendment soil can enhance plant growth and resistance herbivory. Methods First, we quantified the morphological performance of plants grown different coconut bran bamboo charcoal (v/v) combinations selected most beneficial one. Then checked T. absoluta survival on combination. Finally, studied leaf metabolite accumulation gene expression changes after growing Results We found 30:1 ratio as its increased height, stem thickness, chlorophyll content, whereas, decreased. metabolome profiles BC leaves showed flavonoids, terpenoids, phenolic acids compared CK. Transcriptome sequencing resulted identification 244 differentially expressed genes. Most upregulated genes were associated with stress-related hub proteins, flavonoid biosynthesis, MAPK phytohormone signaling, terpenoid biosynthesis. Additionally, many related signaling defense was changed response amendment. Discussion conclude induces biosynthesis acids, which improve tolerance against , thus reducing destructive pests.

Assessing European Egg Parasitoids as a Mean of Controlling the Invasive South American Tomato Pinworm Tuta absoluta
The South American tomato pinworm (Tuta absoluta) has recently invaded Europe and is rapidly spreading in the Afro-Eurasian continent where it is becoming a major pest on tomato crops. Laboratory tests were undertaken to evaluate the potential of 29 European strains of Trichogramma parasitoids to control T. absoluta. In addition to the host itself, the host plant (tomato) was used during the la...

The tomato leafminer, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) is a devastating pest associated with tomato. In this study, effects of tomato plants treated with vermicompost (20, 40, and 60%), humic fertilizer (2, 4 and 6 g/kg soil) and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis) were investigated on the life table parameters of T. absoluta in a growth chamber at 25 ± 2...

Five new pesticides were evaluated for their effectiveness in the control of Tuta absoluta (Meyrick), (Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae) on tomato plant. The effect of pesticides against egg and larvae were estimated after 2, 5 and 7 days from application. The highest reduction percentage of eggs of Tuta absoluta during two successive seasons achieved by Emacit (81.25 and 74.5) % respectively after 7 ...
